Integration services
Component integration: Integration and testing of additional features. IBM can also support specified placement of features within a system.
Rack integration: IBM can integrate blades into a chassis and blade chassis and/or servers into a rack. IBM can also support specified placement of units within the rack.
Operating system preinstall: IBM can pre-install AIX, IBM i or Linux onto the system prior to shipment from the factory.
Unit personalization: IBM will load your specified settings onto the machine such as IP address or other customized settings prior to shipping the system.
Third party hardware/software integration: IBM will install third party/OEM hardware and load software applications per your instructions. The applications can be furnished by the client, IBM applications or third party applications.
Asset tagging
Standard physical asset tagging and labeling: IBM will create and install an asset tag label to each system to aid in asset tracking. The asset tag can include standard information or specific information provided by you.
Electronic asset tag with RFID: IBM will apply a RFID asset tag onto each system for electronic asset tracking.
Special Packaging
Box consolidation: IBM will consolidate all orders into a single shipment. You can also request consolidation of individual frames into a single box to the extent that it is possible without impacting the integrity of the shipment.
System customization
Remote access: IBM will allow you to remotely access systems prior to shipment through a secure network while the systems are still located in the IBM factory. This allows you to personally customize and/or test the machine prior to shipment for a turn-key installation.
Partitioning: IBM will set up and configure logical partitions based on your instruction prior to shipment from the factory.
Customized operating system/firmware: IBM will load customized operating system and firmware loads based on your needs.
