The UNIX 03 Product Standard (link resides outside of ibm.com) is the mark for systems conforming to Version 3 of the Single UNIX Specification. It is a significantly enhanced version of the UNIX 98 Product Standard. The mandatory enhancements include alignment with ISO/IEC 9989:1999/Cor 2:2004 C Programming Language, IEEE Std 1003.1-2004 and ISO/IEC 9945-1:2003/Cor 1:2004. This Product Standard includes the following mandatory Product Standards: Internationalized System Calls and Libraries Extended V3,Commands and Utilities V4, C Language V2, and Internationalized Terminal Interfaces.
Other UNIX 03 product standards
Internationalised Systems Calls and Libraries Extended V3 (link resides outside of ibm.com)with Headers defines the Single UNIX Specification system interfaces invoked directly from the C Language programs and the associated header files. It corresponds to ISO/IEC 9945-1:2003/Cor 1:2004, IEEE 1003.1-2004.
Commands and Utilities V4 (link resides outside of ibm.com) are invoked through a command interpreter such as the shell. This corresponds toISO/IEC 9945-3:2003/Cor 1:2004, IEEE 1003-1-2004.
C Language V2 (link resides outside of ibm.com), an Open Group conforming operating system is usually written in the C Language and a large number of applications are also written in C. The international standard for the C99 Language required by UNIX 03 is ISO/IEC 9899:1999/Cor 2:2004.
Internationalized Terminal Interfaces (link resides outside of ibm.com) provides simple internationalised screen management for character-oriented terminals.
Transport Service (XTI) V2 (link resides outside of ibm.com) component defines a single programming interface to transport services provides by a variety of protocol stacks.
