The performance, reliability and affordability features of the System p5 505 Express platform are designed with proven IBM technology to meet the needs of smaller and medium-sized clients for high-performance, easy-to-manage and very attractively priced systems. The p5-505 Express is a 1- or 2-core server with 1.9 or 2.1 GHz POWER5+ processor cores. It can ideally function as a security server (e-mail, firewall, asset protection, identity security), for basic infrastructure applications such as Web serving, simple database serving, file/print serving and for HPC clustering.
