IBM RS/6000 Workgroup Server Model F40

The RS/6000 Model F40, a deskside 1-way or 2-way symmetric multiprocessor (SMP), is one of IBM's fastest and most expandable PCI workgroup servers. It comes standard with a single PowerPC* 604e 166MHz processor which can be upgraded to the optional 233MHz processor card. And converting from a 1-way to a 2-way system is as simple as plugging in an additional processor card. Nine available I/O expansion slots and up to 22 disk and media bays (10 standard, 12 optional) provides outstanding expansion room in a package that is just slightly more than two feet tall! The disk drives are hot-swappable. And the F40 supports an optional service processor for improved availability and serviceability.
