Electronic Service Agent code
The most current version of Electronic Service Agent code can be obtained by anonymous download from the FTP site and directory:
PM for System p code (Collection Agent)
As of January 1, 2008, all AIX partitions must now be using the most current PM for System p Collection Agent (6.0.6.0)
The most current version of PM for System p client code can be obtained by anonymous download from the FTP site:
Browser support
Access to the Internet using a relatively current browser with 128 bit SSL, Javascript support, and cookie support is required to securely view analyzed data. Minimum levels for Mozilla 1.0 and Internet Explorer 5.0 are required.
PM for System p reports and data may be viewed via the Internet from any system with access to the Internet, which could include an AIX system or any other system such as a PC with a relatively current web browser. To view the data a system with a graphics display and resolution of at least 800 x 600 is recommended. Internet access or a modem is required by Service Agent.
A supported and configured asynchronous modem with a minimum communications speed of 9600 baud and error correction (in the United States) will be required on the Electronic Service Agent "gateway" system in the customer environment. The modem will require the ability to dial to an outside number. Some systems ship with modems intended for use by Electronic Service Agent; please use these modems if supplied. (Please note that future versions of Electronic Service Agent will be able to use a direct Internet connection if one exists, removing the requirement for a modem.)
Disk space*: On each client system, the minimum space requirements are 2MB free in /usr, 4MB free in /var, 4MB free in /tmp, and less than 1MB in /home.
* These are minimum requirements for disk space for typical systems. If your systems have a large number of resources, like disks, additional disk space will be required in the /var filesystem to accommodate proportionately larger collection files.
