High Availability Network Server using HACMP/ES

The High Availability Network Server (HA Network Server) enables users to quickly configure certain network services in a high availability environment. The server has scripts to set up highly available network services such as Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protoc ol (DHCP), High Availability for Network File System (HANFS), and printing services.

HA Network Server uses the framework (shown in Figure 1) in High Availability Cluster MultiProcessing Enhanced Scalability (HACMP/ES) to monitor and react to potential problems with network services that will extend high availability beyond only hardware recovery. Making these services highly available ensures that services that are critical to running a business experience no downtime.
