This white paper explains how to install AIX 5L™ Version 5.2, ML5 (or higher) and AIX 5L V5.3, ML1 (or higher) onto an IBM eServer® BladeCenter™ JS20 using the following install procedures:
- Manual installation from CD–ROM
- Automatic network installation
It also covers how to install the prerequisite firmware level required to install AIX 5L as well as how to backup the JS20. The hardware used for reference in this document is two Cisco Switch Modules and one Management Module.
