The z10 EC is a mainframe built for the twenty first century with expanded scalability for growth and large scale consolidation, improved security and availability and just in time IT capacity.
On February 26th 2008, IBM announced its latest high end enterprise class server, the IBM System z10 Enterprise Class (z10 EC). This latest family of IBM’s highly successful IBM System z mainframe servers builds on the formidable capabilities of the IBM System z9® Enterprise Class (z9® EC). This flexible modular design enables many of the growth, high availability and nondisruptive capabilities that differentiate the System z from other servers.
