DR550 - The total package for data retention policy-based archiving, and Information Life Cycle management
DR550 is a secure, scalable, cost-effective and high-performing archiving and retention solution ideal for archiving a range of electronic-based records, including e-mail, digital images, database applications, instant messages or any other unstructured content. Provides policy and event-based data retention capabilities to support non-erasable, non-rewritable data storage and helps address the needs of regulated industries and businesses with long-term data retention and protection requirements.
DR550 comes in two models: DR1 is packaged in a smaller rack for midmarket clients, scaling up to 39 TB of raw disk capacity, whereas DR2 offers options for higher availability and scalability (up to 224 TB) to address large customers’ needs. Both models support external storage devices such as optical or tape systems for expansion to hundreds of TB in storage capacity. Because tape is available at a much lower cost than disk storage, it is well suited for long-term retention of large quantities of archive information. These powerful solutions support the ability to retain data without alteration throughout their designated retention period.
