ServerGuide is an IBM System x and BladeCenter server installation and deployment tool that is included with the purchase of most IBM System x and BladeCenter servers. ServerGuide updates are made available to support new systems as they are released. The ServerGuide electronic fulfillment offering gives you the opportunity to stay up to date.

Do I need a ServerGuide update?
Ordering an update package is optional. Your IBM System x and BladeCenter servers have been tested with the ServerGuide release that came with your server, but updates might include newer server installation programs and device drivers.

How do I order?
There are two ways to receive ServerGuide:

  1. Order a ServerGuide subscription. A subscription* gives you the latest updates on CD automatically each time a new version is released (up to six CDs per year).
  2. Download the latest version of ServerGuide from the IBM Service and Support Site.

Note: Japanese versions of ServerGuide are not available from this Web site.

Note: ServerGuide update contents vary, and updates might be a subset of the original ServerGuide CD package. IBM may add, change, remove specific software, change the update prices or discontinue the ServerGuide update program without notice.
