1. How do I install and activate PM Agent for System i?

Simple activation instructions for V4R5 and above:

Simply follow the defaults for the CFGPM400 command to setup for synchronous data transmission. If you are using Universal Connection for asynchronous transmission at V5R1 or above, do the following:

in Management Central expand the AS/400 System Groups container in the left pane,
right click on your system group,
select Inventory -> Collect...,
select PM for System i PERFORMANCE DATA as inventory that you would like Collected.

(Note: If you have not set up Universal Connection, refer to the more detailed install and activation instructions.)
