This page pertains to IBM Facsimile Support for i (Version 5 Release 7).  It contains information that has changed since the availability of IBM Facsimile Support for iSeries (Version 5 Release 2). For more information, refer to Facsimile Support documentation published for Version 4: Facsimile Support installation guide, SC41-0654-01; Facsimile Support user's guide, SC-0655-01; and Facsimile Support programmer's guide and reference, SC41-0656-01 and also the updates provided in the Read me for V5R2.

Software changes

The following software changes have been made since the availability of the 5798FAX V5R2 product.

• The latest release of IBM Facsimile Support for i 5798FAX V5R7M0 is supported on i 6.1 and i 7.1.
• The Convert Fax Document (CVTFAXDOC) command and the corresponding option Convert Fax Documents on the Fax User menu are removed. As OfficeVision for AS/400® is no longer supported, the command is obsolete. Any existing CL programs that use the CVTFAXDOC command may require modifications.
• The Configure Fax Services (CFGFAXSVR) command options ENBLOV400 and DOCPRTDEV are removed. Any existing CL programs that use the CFGFAXSRV command may require modifications.
• The Submit Fax (SBMFAX) command Option *FAXOFCDOC is removed. Any existing CL programs that use the SBMFAX command may require modifications.
