Fixes for WebSphere Application Server V6.0 for i5OS are delivered via a fix pack which is included in the WebSphere Application Server for OS/400 group PTF. The group PTF number for all WebSphere Application Server V6.0 products for OS/400 release V5R3M0 is SF99301. See the OS/400 Group PTFs web page to locate and view the information file for SF99301.
When you install the group PTF, the fix pack is placed under the product install directory. You must then run the update script located in directory /QIBM/ProdData/WebSphere/AppServer/V6/ edition/updateinstaller, where edition is:
- Base if you have WebSphere Application Server - Express, WebSphere Application Server for Developers, or WebSphere Application Server installed.
- ND if you have WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment installed.
For detailed instructions on installing the fix pack, see the V6.0 Fix Pack Install Instructions, or Readme.txt or Readme.html located under the updateinstaller directory once the PTF has been applied.
In addition to the fix pack, the WebSphere Application Server group PTF includes the latest group PTFs (most current at the time of ordering) for the following products:
- DB2/400
- Java/400
- IBM HTTP Server
- IBM Business Solutions
In addition to these Group PTFs, the WebSphere Application Server Group PTF may also include additional PTFs which are not a part of any group PTF or cumulative PTF package. These PTFs are required for some portion of the product to function correctly. See the OS/400 Group PTFs web page to view the contents of a particular group PTF. See the following topics for information on the WebSphere Application Server version, required cumulative PTF package, recommended level of group PTFs for DB2/400, Java/400 and IBM HTTP Server, and any additional PTFs which are not part of a group or cumulative PTF package.
Cumulative Package
This level (V6.0.2.31) of WebSphere Application Server was tested with the V5R3 Cumulative PTF Package C8267530. You may be able to successfully run with an earlier or later cumulative PTF package.
WebSphere Group PTF
The latest version of the WebSphere Application Server V6.0 for OS/400 group PTF contains fixes required to run the product. You can find out the current version of WebSphere Application Server V6.0 for OS/400 product on your iSeries system by issuing the following command in the QSH environment:
/QIBM/ProdData/WebSphere/AppServer/V6/ edition/bin/versionInfo, where edition is:
- Base if you have WebSphere Application Server - Express, WebSphere Application Server for Developers, or WebSphere Application Server installed
- ND if you have WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment installed
The version number under the "Installed product" section is the current product version.
The latest available PTF version for WebSphere Application Server V6.0: 6.0.2.31.

Included Group PTFs
The following table lists the OS/400 Group PTFs that are included in the WebSphere Application Server Group PTF, along with the versions, that were tested with WebSphere Application Server V6.0.2.31 for OS/400. You should have the listed versions or newer installed on your OS/400 system. The WebSphere Application Server for OS/400 group PTF always includes the most recent version of the group PTFs listed.
