In addition to offering WebSphere Application Server (WAS) as a one time charge (OTC) product, IBM now offers WAS under software terms and conditions to complement the On/Off CoD server offering. These new software terms and conditions will enable customers to pay for WAS on a daily basis when they activate the On/Off CoD hardware offering for iSeries. For further details, see announcement 203-202.
IBM WebSphere Application Server - Express V6.0 for OS/400 is included with i5/OS V5R3 at no additional charge, and clients may deploy it to all i5/OS processors on the target iSeries server. A copy of "IBM WebSphere Application Server - Express" should already be included in the package when clients ordered their i5/OS V5R3 product. However, if the product is not included for any reason, clients can obtain a copy of IBM WebSphere Application Server - Express by ordering product 5722-WE2 "IBM Web Enablement for i5/OS" (5722-WE2).
