Software
i5/OS™ Version 4 Release 5 or later is required. InfoPrint® Designer is installed on IBM System i and then the code is downloaded to the design PC. The design PC must be running a supported version of the Windows® operating system. System i Access is required to provide the connection between InfoPrint Designer and the System i. System i AFP™ fonts available via InfoPrint AFP Font Collection are required on the System i. AFP Font Collection is provided no-charge with Print Services Facility for i5/OS (PSF for i5/OS).
Applications designed using InfoPrint Designer are in standard System i AFP format and can be delivered in a wide variety of electronic or hardcopy means. Printing is available to IPDS™, PCL, or PDF printers. Printing to IPDS requires PSF for i5/OS. Printing to PCL requires i5/OS V5R1 or later. Printing to PDF printers requires InfoPrint Server for System i (5722-IP1). Electronic delivery options (e-mail, Web, and so on) can be provided by InfoPrint Server for System i.
Hardware
InfoPrint Designer runs on a PC capable of running a supported version of the Windows operating system. An Intel® Pentium® II or III or compatible with at least 233MHz is required. A graphics accelerator card (8MB minimum) is also required.
