Net.Data for i5/OS

In the past few weeks, Net.Data PTFs have been released that can potentially improve the performance of your macros significantly. The changes improved the processing of REPORT blocks and the usage of built-in functions.

Prior to the performance enhancements, you could not return hundreds of records back to the browser and have acceptable performance. With the enhancements, report block processing is almost equivalent to default report processing (where there is no REPORT block). However, if you reference VLIST (which is not a very useful variable), you will see minor performance improvements.

The performance enhancements also affect the way Net.Data processes built-in function calls. In particular, Net.Data processes parameters much more efficiently.
