IBM Advanced Job Scheduler for the System i server
Designed to simplify unattended operations, automate operator functions, and control job output distribution. Jobs can be automatically run based on a rich set of schedule definitions, the completion of other other jobs, or the status of system objects. Administrators and operators can be notified via message queues or through a pager product.
The Job Scheduler plug-in allows you to define and manage your scheduled jobs with a graphical interface to time and date definitions along with many other job properties. With the plug-in you can also define control information, like work days, holiday calendars, and pager product interfaces. The Job Scheduler also "plugs into" the Management Central client and replacing the basic default scheduler with its rich set of scheduling capabilities.
Besides being available for System i Navigator, Several key functions of the IBM Advanced Job Scheduler for i5/OS are now available for System i Navigator tasks on the Web. Find out more details .

Performance Tools for System i
Experienced system managers and operators are familiar with the IBM Performance Tools program, which provides tools for analysis, modeling, detailed reports, and graphical views of their System i servers. These tools help them know how their servers are performing and understanding how changes affect their ability to conduct daily business.
The Performance Tools plug-in available only with System i Navigator, allows you to view this performance data graphically. You can summarize data into reports, create graphs to show trends, and analyze the details of your system performance.
System i Navigator displays performance metrics graphically over a selected interval of time. A Details view allows you to see detailed performance data for the selected time interval in a variety of ways. To analyze your system performance, you can view job data, subsystem data, pool data, or disk unit data. And from the same System i Navigator window, you can even print the Performance Tools reports (System, Component, Job, Pool, and Resource) that have helped so many system managers get the most from their System i servers!
