Domino Fax Log Messages: Error Code 11407
Code Description, Cause & Recovery
11407 Description:
Windows Fax Conversion Service thread error x parsing OS/400 conversion information.

Cause:
An error occurred while the Windows Fax Conversion Service attempted to parse data sent to it by the Fax server. This data is necessary for the Windows Fax Conversion Service to successfully recognize and handle this particular fax conversion request. This Windows Fax Conversion Service thread cannot recover from this error and will end. The corresponding Fax server thread that was using this Windows thread will also end. The fax cannot be handled until this particular problem is resolved. The value of error code x provides more detailed information:

1 The fax job local spool job reference data value is in an unrecognizable format.
2 The data value used to determine whether the fax is an incoming or outgoing fax is not valid.
3 The Windows Fax Conversion Service cannot determine how many files must be converted for this incoming fax job.

Recovery:
From the Administrator Workstation for the Domino server that is processing the problem fax, stop and start Fax. If the problem still occurs, restart the entire network of Fax servers that use this Fax Windows Services System for fax conversion. If the problem still occurs, it is possible that either the Fax code running on the Domino server or the code running on the Fax Windows Services System was updated, and the two functions are no longer compatible.

  • If you have recently upgraded to a new release, make sure that you upgraded both portions of the product.
  • If you have recently applied fixes to one portion of the product, there are corresponding fixes that must be applied to the other portion. Check the Domino Fax for i5/OS web site for more information about available fixes.
