Server requirements
- IBM i 5.4 or later, click here for the latest update. (PDF, 126KB)
- One of the following supported Domino releases:
- Domino 8.5 or later 8.5.x release(requires server update 4.5 03 (BIN, 1.41MB) or later).
- For Domino 8.5, a Domino hotfix includes fix for SPR SHWG7UNKM3 is required to solve a re-run Domino Fax setup failure issue. If you do not have any Domino 8.5 hotfix applied, you can use hotfix L502463 directly, but if you already have other Domino 8.5 hotfix applied or you are using Domino 8.5 Fix Pack 1, you need to contact IBM support to get a Domino 8.5 hotfix to solve this issue.
- For Domino 8.5.1 or later 8.5.x release, there is no need for a Domino hotfix because SPR SHWG7UNKM3 is fixed in Domino 8.5.1 and later release.
- Domino 8 or later 8.0.x release(requires server update 4.5 02 (BIN, 1.41MB) or later)
- Domino 7 or a later 7.0.x release.
- Domino release 6.5.4 or a later 6.5.x release.
Fax Windows Services System requirements
The majority of Domino Fax runs natively on your Domino server. A small portion of the product that performs image conversion (Fax Windows Services) must be installed on a Windows system. For more information see Domino Fax FAQ's.
You may use either a standalone Windows system or an Integrated xSeries Server installed on an IBM i server to run Fax Windows Services.
The following software is required:
- Windows 2000 (SP2 or later); or Windows XP (SP1 or later); or Windows 2003.
- Lotus Notes 8.0.x,7.0.x or 6.5.x (minimum 6.5.4).
- To use Lotus Notes 8.0x, Fax Windows Service Update 4.5 01 is required.
- All workstation applications you have chosen for processing attachments.
For example, to enable faxing memos with Microsoft Word documents attached, install Word on the Fax Windows Services system.
The following hardware is required for a standalone Windows system:
- Processor: Pentium 4, 1.2 GHz or higher.
- Memory: 512 MB minimum; 1GB or more strongly recommended.
- Disk space: 1 GB or more recommended for the Lotus Notes client and Fax Windows Service program.
- Ensure the hardware resources are sufficient to run all of the software that you plan to install.
