Faxes are composed using the standard Notes memo form. Faxes can be addressed using just the recipients' names. Cover pages can be edited and modified using the fax options within the Notes Mail template. Fax-to numbers can be stored in your Personal Address Book or the Domino Directory, or you can specify the fax number when you address the memo.

Document Appearance Preserved
Fully preserves appearance of documents during conversion to image format for faxing; full fidelity of fonts and graphics; automatically faxes content of mail memo attachments.

Schedule Transmission
Users can automatically delay fax transmission until telephone rates drop.

Easy Cover Page and Cost Code Selection
Users save time by selecting a cover page or a cost code from drop down menus.

Fax Queue Management

Flexible Inbound Routing
Fully supports modern telephone network features for automatically routing inbound faxes to the recipient’s mailbox via: Direct Inward Dialing (DID), Dual Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF), CSID and fax port addressing, in addition to manual routing. (Routing capabilities available depend on fax device.)

More than Notes Clients
Also supports web mail users.

Features for administrators
Uses Existing Mail Server
Administrators do not need to add another server dedicated to fax, as with many other products. A small portion of Domino Fax for i5/OS must be installed on a Windows system to meet the unique technical demands for converting memos, rich text, graphics, and attached files to image format.

Domino-Based Administration
Domino Fax uses familiar Domino administration tools to configure and manage Domino Fax, both locally and remotely.

Least Cost Routing
Administrators can leverage their network of fax servers to lower expenses. Outbound faxes can be distributed between servers based on the phone number being dialed, providing the most economical route and significantly reducing the cost of fax phone calls.

Dynamic Load Balancing
Servers can be clustered together for maximum efficiency. Outbound faxes are automatically routed through the most efficient path.

Fax Prioritization
Outbound faxes are prioritized automatically based on senders' default priority levels, administrator-defined rules, and the time a fax has waited in the queue.

Convenient Group Settings
System administrators can assign outbound fax priorities, default or custom cover sheets and other configurable settings to groups of Domino users automatically.
