What's New in Domino 7.0.4
Required System Release
Domino for i5/OS Release 7.0.4 is supported on i5/OS V5R4 and V6R1. Domino 7.0.4 is not supported on i5/OS V5R3, before installing Domino 7.0.4, upgrading your V5R3 system to V5R4 or V6R1. Please refer to the Support for Lotus Domino and related products on i5/OS V6R1 web page for more information on Lotus product support for and fixes that are required to run on i5/OS V6R1.
ATTENTION LOTUS DOMINO EXTENDED PRODUCT CUSTOMERS
For the latest information about software compatibility for maintenance releases of Domino and other Lotus software products, such as Lotus Workflow, Lotus Quickr, Lotus Domino Document Manager (Domino.Doc) and Lotus Sametime, see the Lotus Software for i5/OS Compatibility Guide (PDF, 92KB).
Do not upgrade Domino servers that are running any other products until you confirm that those products are supported on the new release of Domino.
Note: Quickr 8.0.0.2 is the only version of QuickPlace or Quickr that is supported for Domino 7.0.4. DO NOT upgrade QuickPlace 7 or Quickr 8.0 servers to Domino 7.0.4 unless you also upgrade to Quickr 8.0.0.2. (Other Domino servers within the same LPAR can run a different release than your QuickPlace or Quickr servers.)
Lotus Quickr 8.0.0.2 requires an update in order to run on Domino 7.0.4. If you have multiple Quickr servers running in the same logical partition (LPAR), you must update all of them to Domino 7.0.4 when you install the Lotus Quickr 8.0.0.2 IBM i Enabling Fix for Domino 7.0.4. When the enabling fix is available, you can obtain it from the Lotus Quickr for i5/OS support site.
ATTENTION LOTUS LEI CUSTOMERS
When you upgrade to Domino 7.0.4, you must use Lotus Enterprise Integrator (LEI) version 7.0.4. For additional information, see Lotus Enterprise Integrator.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR LANGUAGE PACK USERS
If you currently use or need a non-English version of Domino 7, do not install Domino 7.0.4 until the Domino 7.0.4 language packs are available. When you upgrade a Domino server that has language parts installed, the upgrade process replaces all Domino language parts with the corresponding English version. Language packs are typically available 30 to 60 days after the English version.
