Daylight Saving Time

The Energy Policy Act of 2005 was passed by the United States Congress on July 29, 2005 and signed into law on August 8, 2005. This law changes the time-change dates for Daylight Savings Time in the United States. Beginning in 2007, DST will begin on the second Sunday in March and end on the first Sunday in November. In addition to the U.S., Canada and Bermuda have decided to change their DST dates in 2007 to follow the same time zone rules.

Date and time processing functions in systems and applications in countries implementing the new DST rules (U.S., Canada, Bermuda) are affected and require updates to i5/OS and Domino server's notes.ini. The following instructions will point you to Web pages that contain the information require to update your system.

Additional information on Daylight Saving Time and other IBM product can be found at IBM Daylight Saving Time alert.
