As an alternative to using the HTTP server provided in Domino, customers can take advantage of the HTTP Server (powered by Apache) to forward HTTP traffic to their Domino servers.
Why use IBM HTTP Server (powered by Apache) with Domino?
- Provides a single point of entry for all HTTP traffic, including WebSphere and Domino.
- Allows you to easily control how URLs are distributed to your application servers using a configuration file. See the topic "Configuration File Details" for more information.
- You can use the WEBADMIN.NSF database via the Web to perform administrative tasks.
- Availability of several additional features like enhanced SSL and Highly Available HTTP Server.
