About: IBM Welcome Page, Version 1.1
IBM Welcome Page v1.1 is included in the set of enterprise Web applications provided by IBM Business Solutions.
IBM Welcome Page is a Web-based business application designed to work in conjunction with the other business applications. Its purpose is twofold. First, it provides a common starting point for you and your colleagues to go to to find links to the other applications - a simple welcome page specifically for business solutions. Second, it provides administrative interfaces used for set up and configuration of all applications provided by IBM Business Solutions.

Figure 1: Example welcome page.
While each application may be deployed and run separately, they are also designed to work with each other to share resources and configuration properties. The Welcome Page ties them together from both an administrator's view point and an end user's view point, by providing separate welcome pages with links into the applications for each type of user.

Initially, you will find the Welcome Page a nice starting point to go to while you get familar with the applications and how to manage them. As you learn more about them, you may decide to create your own shortcuts into application pages and integrate them into your own web site.
