About: IBM Survey Creator, Version 1.0
IBM Survey Creator v1.0 is an enterprise Web application provided by IBM Business Solutions.
IBM Survey Creator is a Web-based business application used to create and conduct online surveys. As an application administrator, you decide who is allowed to own and conduct surveys by managing a list of names taken from the registry of users within your enterprise. People you list as survey owners can create and conduct their own personal surveys from your enterprise web site.

Figure 1: Example survey owner page.
Survey owners decide who is allowed (or not allowed) to take their surveys, what questions are asked, and how the answers are laid out.
Nine different question types and answer layouts are available, including support for single and multiple answer choices, open-ended text answers, numerical value answers, and data block answers.

Surveys may be set up for anonymous polling or may require participants to log in before taking the survey. The registry of users is stored securely in a shared directory provided by a lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP) server that may be located anywhere within your network. Survey properties, question and answer text, layouts, and results are stored in the System i' DB2 Universal Database.
A summary of answers provided by survey participants may be viewed online or filed locally to allow your desktop applications to process them. Results may also be mined directly from the DB2 database to create your own custom reports, charts, and graphs.
Note: The IBM Survey Creator Web application was added to the IBM Business Solutions product after initial product packaging. It is made available by applying an "add function" program fix (PTF) after the product is installed. Refer to the PTFs & Support page for information regarding program fixes (PTFs) for IBM Business Solutions.
