Notes:

  • Microsoft® Windows Server 2003 comes in several editions. The hardware requirements vary by edition. See Microsoft's Web site for base requirements information for all editions.
  • If you do not plan to use System i Navigator for anything other than managing your System i connections (adding, removing, and changing connection properties), it is recommended that you do not install the System i Navigator base feature. Installing that feature will result in higher memory usage when managing your System i connections.
  • Windows Vista Home Basic edition and Windows Vista Home Premium edition are not supported.
  • You must run on Windows service pack levels that Microsoft supports.

Adapter Card
  • A communications adapter card that supports TCP/IP.
Notes:
  1. The Disk Space - Install values are approximate.
  2. You need 3 MB available on the drive where the Windows operating system is installed to accommodate temporary files that the System i Access for Windows setup program creates.
  3. Additional files are downloaded from the System i platform when you use the File Systems function of System i Navigator.
  4. Service pack patches require additional space.
