Instructions for Acquiring and Installing Language Versions

The System i Access for Windows program can be installed to the PC by several methods. The methods that are discussed in this article:

Installing from the PC DVD-ROM. This DVD-ROM is called "System i Setup and Operations".
Installing the Licensed Program, 5761-XE1, to the System i server, and then using i5/OS NetServer to install the program from the server to the PC.
Creating a transform.

For more details on the methods to install System i Access for Windows, refer to the System i and i5/OS Information Center Installation and setup article.

Customers will receive a copy of the System i Setup and Operations DVD-ROM with all the supported languages with orders/upgrades of the System i Access Family (5761-XW1) or with new hardware orders.

Currently in V6R1 Secondary languages installation on the PC is not supported, keep posted for more information about this support.
