Windows Server 2008 support

The IBM i integration with BladeCenter® and System x™ solution has been enhanced to provide support for Windows Server™ 2008 on iSCSI attached servers. This support will enable IBM i customers to install Windows Server 2008 on an iSCSI attached BladeCenter or System x server and extend the value of the IBM i server integration support. See the Windows on integrated servers web page for the specific Windows Server 2008 editions that are supported. See the BladeCenter and System x models supported with iSCSI web page for the specific blade and System x server models that are supported.

IBM i 6.1 plus some PTFs are required in order to run Windows Server 2008 on iSCSI attached servers. See IBM i PTFs for the latest list of PTFs that are required.
