IBM i PTFs

Service packs
Troubleshooting

The following tables list the PTFs that are required for each IBM i release in order to run Windows®, VMware® ESX or Linux® servers that are integrated with the IBM i solution.

Before installing an integrated server, load all of the following required PTFs:

  • Load the cumulative PTF package shown.
  • For i 6.1 and i 5.4, load the group PTF shown.
  • Load the additional PTFs shown. These are not available as part of the cumulative PTF package or group PTF that is shown.
  • The required PTFs must be installed on each IBM i partition that will host integrated servers.

After the server has been installed, check this page periodically to see if additional required PTFs have been released.

You can order PTFs via Electronic Customer Support (ECS) or Fix Central, or find more information on the Fixes web page. Additional IBM i service and support information can be found at http://www.ibm.com/systems/support/i/.
