These tables provide a summary of integrated server configurations — which Integrated xSeries® Servers (IXS) work with which IBM® Power™ servers and which i5/OS® , Windows® and Linux® versions, as well as hot spare support and hardware migration  2 options.

  • W2003 – Any of the following 32-bit x86 Microsoft® Windows Server™ 2003 versions:

2  : Hardware migration and upgrading from one type of server hardware to another type follow the same rules as hot sparing from one type of server hardware to another type. See hot spare support for more information.
3  : The Type-Model column shows the hardware type and model numbers for each IXS. See the table below for the IXS feature codes corresponding to your Power server.
4  : i5/OS i 5.4 or V5R3 is required for RHEL3 on IXS servers.
