One of the group’s core businesses today is Al Mansour Holding Company for Financial Investments which entered into its licensing agreement with Philip Morris in 1992 in response to a growing demand by Egyptian consumers for high quality packaged consumer goods. The brands under this remit today includes (Marlboro, Merit, Parliament, L&M, and NEXT.) The companies that comprise Al Mansour Holding distribute an extensive range of consumer goods to over 130,000 outlets nationwide, making it by far the largest distribution group in Egypt.
Al Mansour Holding purchased the Seclam dairy products processing plant and entered into the highly lucrative bottled water market establishing the Hayat-Siwa Bottling plant which bottles pure drinking water which is commercialized under the brand name Hayat.
Al Mansour Holding’s product portfolio includes the manufacturing, marketing and distribution of Philip Morris world-renowned tobacco brands, As well as a wide variety of own label consumer goods such as; Sunshine Tuna, Labanita and Belhana dairy products and Hayat Natural drinking water.
In 1998, Al Mansour Holding ventured into the food retail business by introducing a new supermarket chain by the name of Metro. In a relatively short period of time, the name became synonymous with high levels of service and customer satisfaction. Under the umbrella of Metro Market, Al Mansour Holding started the Kheir Zaman chain in 2006 which offers a variety or food products at affordable prices to satisfy the lower income segment of the consumers. Today, Metro and Kheir Zaman have become the largest food retail chain in the market, with a network of 84 outlets servicing seven different governorates nationwide.

And the solution must be capable to achieve the high availability in the main site, and scale to provide the operation continuity in case of disaster.
Al Mansour Holding Company is the first customer in Middle East to implement IBM PowerHA for i.
IBM proposed two IBM Power 740 server running IBM i v7R1, each server divided into 14 logical partitions using IBM PowerVM, clustered together using IBM PowerHA for i, the two servers connected to IBM XIV storage, and use IBM TS3200 tape library for backup using IBM BRMS utility.
