Class description
The IBM System x and PureSystems Top Gun will cover all new releases and updates to both System X and PureSystems offerings. This is the course to take for the System x Server platform where you will learn to position the System x and PureSystems portfolio with other IBM Products and also hear how to counter the competition. This sales oriented class will provide modules covering both product content as well as selling and competitive strategies to make every sales opportunity a win.
You will also have the opportunity to network with experts from IBM’s Systems and Technology Group as we accelerate the acceptance of key IBM x86 offerings in the IT marketplace. Also, use this class to get yourself prepared to achieve Sales Certification on these products.

- All IBM and Business Partner sellers new to IBM System x and PureSystems products and solutions
- Experienced IBM and Business Partner sellers needing an IBM System x and PureSystems knowledge refresh
- New hire System x sellers in their first 3 - 18 months
- Anyone else selling or supporting the sales of IBM System System x and Puresystems products and solutions
Objectives
- Build sellers core product and value selling skills
- Articulate and discuss strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats for the IBM System x and PureSystems strategies
- Lay the foundation to be able to assess, orchestrate and successfully position solutions using System x and PureSystems products
- Communicate to customers why IBM innovations in the System x and PureSystems offerings will craft winning solutions
- Upon completion of the course, the seller should be able to identify, validate, qualify, propose, and win IBM System x and PureSystems opportunities
