Do you need to understand the WebSphere products? If so, the IBM Top Gun Virtual Learning: WebSphere Product Basics class is the starting point for you!! IBM’s WebSphere brand represents a significant portion of SWG’s middleware. Sellers must understand the fundamentals of the WebSphere products in order to recognize the revenue and profit potential involved. This class is intended as a basic overview of the key WebSphere products and is taught at the introductory level. It serves as the pre-requisite for follow-on WebSphere Top Gun Education. The class is interactive, featuring testing and polling questions. This training provides fundamental product knowledge to anyone including WebSphere software in customer deals.
Duration
The WebSphere Product Basics class will be held over three days, with up to 4 hours per day.
Audience
The audience for IBM Top Gun Virtual Learning: WebSphere Product Basics includes all sellers (IBM and Business Partners) new to WebSphere software.
Objectives
This class builds skills and knowledge that enables students to:
- Recognize proper product names, versions and packaging;
- Understand relevant history including product origin;
- Use an everyday analogy to explain how the product solves a particular problem;
- Explain particular innovations that have been incorporated in this products, including features which other products many not have;
- Identify standards which are relevant to this product;
- Recognize the profile of the person who uses or buys WebSphere;
- Understand the customer’s perceptions of the products.

Location
