 IBM TGVL:Rational Fundamentals

Are you new to Rational? Do you need to learn about the new Telelogic products that are in the Rational portfolio? If you answered “yes” to one of both of these questions, then one or both of these courses are designed for you! These two courses (Rational IT Fundamentals and Rational Systems Foundations) are taught at the introductory level for those sellers who need a broad, high-level view of Rational's family of products. It also serves as a prerequisite to the more in-depth Rational Top Gun classroom course. The main audience is any salesperson new to Software Group and/or new to selling the Rational portfolio, business partners, and other software sellers who want to understand how they might add Rational products to their deals are also welcome to attend.
The first course, Rational IT Fundamentals - focuses on selling Rational/Telelogic offerings to support clients with traditional IT business applications:
- Rational Solutions Overview
- Configuration and Change Management
- Requirements Definition and Management
- Process and Portfolio Management
- Analysis, Design, and Construction
- Architecture Management
- Quality Management
- Enterprise Architecture
- Enterprise Modernization
The second course, Rational Systems Foundation - focuses on selling Rational/Telelogic offerings to support clients with complex and embedded systems:
- Requirements Engineering
- Product Portfolio Management
- Model Driven Systems Development
- Integrated Product Change Management / Change and Release
- Software Development for Systems
- Jazz and Reporting

| The IBM TGVL: Rational Fundamentals courses will be held on two consecutive days, fours hours each day. This is a total of two half-days. |
| The audience for this class are Rational and former Telelogic sellers, Business Partners, and anyone interested in better understanding IBM’s Rational software portfolio. |

The two classes provide an overview of Rational's offerings providing the foundation of what every seller needs to know and it's objective is to build the skills and knowledge that enables students to:
- Gain a basic understanding of the Rational product strategy
- Identify the basic capabilities and sales positioning of Rational products
- Understand the target audience for Rational products and solutions
- Identify Rational opportunities early in the sales cycle
