Description

In this course you will learn to set up and use IBM® Retail Environment for SUSE Linux Version 2 (IRES V2). The course covers how to install the operating system and application software, configure basic settings, and work with image templates.

Because this course focuses on software installation, server configurations, and working with specific software components, software simulations are included that enable you to see these processes, rather than just read about them. Detailed exercises also walk you through each of the processes involved with installation, configuration, and working with images.

Although based on an earlier version of SLES than the version included in IRES V2, the RE6100 course provides useful information about SUSE Linux.
