Prerequisites

Students taking this course should have a working knowledge of:

  • 4690 Operating System
  • IBM Point-of-Sale Systems
  • WebSphere MQ and WebSphere MQ
  • One of the following applications:
    • SurePOS Application Client/Server Environment for 4690 OS (ACE)
    • General Sales Application (GSA)
    • 4680-4690 Supermarket Application (SA)
    • Familiar with user exits when using GSA or SA
  • Note: A fundamental knowledge of Java™ and the Java programming architecture would be helpful, although not required

The IBM Retail Education Manager v1.0 tool is required to take this course. You must download and install IBM Retail Education Manager v1.0 on your system before downloading the course modules. If you already have IBM Retail Education Manager v1.0 on your system, you do not need to download it again.
