Description

This course focuses on the features and functions of the IBM SurePOS™ Application Client/Server Environment (SurePOS ACE) in the 4690 Operating System environment. It also provides the SurePOS ACE documentation for planning application option settings and SurePOS ACE-related 4690 Operating System configuration settings that are needed to implement SurePOS ACE.

This course provides the technical information that will assist you in planning, installing, personalizing, or supporting SurePOS ACE. In addition, hands-on exercises are included to supplement and reinforce the material covered in this course.

Audience

This course is for IBM anyone who is responsible for planning, installing, personalizing, or supporting SurePOS ACE V5.

If you will be working with an earlier version of SurePOS ACE, rather than V5, you should take the appropriate courses for that version. V5 includes functions not available in previous versions of SurePOS ACE.

Prerequisites

Before taking this course, you should be familiar with the 4690 Operating System operation and configuration.

Although not a requirement, experience with a previous version of SurePOS ACE, one of the other 4680-4690 Sales Applications, or another vendor's Point of Sale application would be helpful.
