IBM and Intel® have announced the public availability of the design specifications for compatible networking switches, blade adapter cards (daughter cards), and appliance and communications blades for the IBM BladeCenter™ platform. Opening these specifications continues the companies' commitment to building the kind of robust ecosystem of products that partners expect when deploying the BladeCenter platform.

The BladeCenter platform helps companies integrate storage, servers, and networking into a single chassis and provide their customers with a single point of management and provisioning.
