Storage Control

IBM® Systems Director Storage Control enables the management of systems and storage with a single pane of glass. IBM Systems Director with Storage Control provides a single management console and system for managing both server and storage systems. Storage Control is an IBM systems Director plug-in based on IBM Tivoli Storage Productivity Centre (US). It integrates tightly with the IBM Systems Director and VMControl environment providing integrated physical and virtual server and storage management through a single user interface.

Storage Control unifies the management of physical and virtual server and storage resources for integrated end-to-end life cycle management, including: configuration, discovery, health, capacity, inventory, provisioning, topology, updates, alerts and retirement. Storage Control is especially important for IT administration groups that have responsibility across servers and storage.
