 AISO.net generates big cost savings by harnessing the power of data center virtualization. (US) — As designed by Sirius, the new solution's key attributes included a marked consolidation in hardware—with nearly 100 of its standalone servers replaced by four System x servers—as well as a major improvement in the infrastructure's overall flexibility and resiliency.

 Progressive Enterprises buys into virtualization with SAP and IBM (US) — Progressive Enterprises is making use of virtualization to improve the efficiency of its Intel-based systems. As its existing Windows servers come to the end of their useful lives, rather than replacing them like-for-like Progressive is consolidating them to virtual servers running under VMware on IBM System x and BladeCenter hardware.
