Abstract: Significant performance benefits, and corresponding reductions in the cost to do data processing, can be experienced by increasing DB2 buffer pool sizes. This was clearly demonstrated in recent internal System z measurements in which DB2 buffer pools and associated memory were scaled at generally high (>80%) CPU utilization. This white paper documents the findings from those measurements
