Abstract: This technical paper describes how to enable storage high availability in an IBM Flex System environment using a stretched SAN Volume Controller cluster with volume mirroring to two dedicated backend storage systems.
The paper illustrates the administration tasks to connect an IBM Flex System with Power nodes and built-in fibre channel switches to an IBM stretched SAN Volume Controller Cluster (SVC) in an external SAN Fabric.
