Abstract: In this paper the performance of a system with all disk storage consisting of solid state drives (SSD) is studied on an IBM Power Systems model 740 server with the latest POWER7+ processor technology, version 7.1 of the IBM i operating system, and Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne application software. Comparisons are made to a previously published study of an IBM Power Systems model 740 server with POWER7 processor technology and conventional disk drives.
