Abstract: This paper consolidates the information necessary for planning and implementing Oracle Database 12c Release 1 (12.1) single instance database or Oracle Database 12c Release 1 Real Application Cluster (RAC) on the IBM AIX® operating system. It summarizes the information available at the time of publication. It will be updated as changes (eg. new certifications) occur. It is meant to be used only as a guide. For any official Oracle certification information, please consult Oracle’s “My Oracle Support” website.
