Abstract: This paper discusses the IBM Active System Optimizer (ASO) and Dynamic System Optimizer (DSO) technology introduced with IBM Power Systems and how these features help to optimize the resources and boost the performance of the Power Systems servers, for Oracle Database workloads . This paper demonstrates how this technology could be used to get better performance with Online Transaction processing (OLTP) and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) type of workloads
