Abstract: This document provides information on the IBM XIV Gen3 2810/114 2TB Drives with SSD cache Storage System solution for Microsoft Exchange Server, based the Microsoft Exchange Solution Reviewed Program (ESRP) – Storage program*. This solution implements the new Mailbox Resiliency features in Exchange Server 2010; specifically the database availability group feature. A database availability group (DAG) is a set of up to 16 Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Mailbox servers that work together to provide automatic database-level recovery from a database, server, or network failure. Mailbox servers in a DAG monitor each other for failures. Solutions that implement this feature can deliver a very robust Exchange environment.
