Abstract: z/OS 1.11 provided improved resource optimization and economics with the introduction of the capability to run System z Application Assist Processor (zAAP) eligible workloads on System z Integrated Information Processors (zIIPs). This new support allows an installation to run zIIP and zAAP eligible workloads on installed zIIP processors. This document will review the important planning information involved with successfully using this support.
