WebSphere Application Server; WebSphere Application Server for z/OS; WebSphere Application Server ND; z/OS
Abstract: WebSphere Application Server on all platforms makes use of digital certificates for encryption and identity assertion. On z/OS we have the unique ability to use SAF (IBM's product: RACF) to store the certificates. But what if you want to use file-based key stores, such as the distributed platforms use? This document details the steps necessary to do that.
Note: If you are using SAF and you're happy with it, then there's no reason to change. This document simply spells out what's involved if the need to use file-based keystores comes up.
