Product(s) covered:

WebSphere Application Server for z/OS

Abstract: The installation and configuration of WebSphere Application Server on z/OS creates RACF profiles in a mixture of discrete and generic forms, most of the important ones discrete. This can sometimes present an obstacle to expanding the configuration at a later time. This document will describe an alternative method for defining the profiles that is more generic and allows expansion of the configuration without subsequent involvement of the security administration personnel.
