Abstract: z/OS workload management and dispatching have been enhanced to take advantage of the System z hardware design. A new mode of dispatching called HiperDispatch has been implemented to provide additional processing efficiencies. This White Paper describes planning considerations related to HiperDispatch. This paper describes planning considerations for z/OS environments using hiperdispatch. This document has been updated to contain information on the benefits of hiperdispatch for the z10 and z196 processors.
